A group of lean, quick cats padded along the lakeside, there fur buffeted by a strong wind which seemed not to bother them. A full moon hung above there heads and there eyes were filled with excitement. The air was cool and crisp and only the shine of silverpelt was the only thing to guide them to there destination. Leading these cats was a small tawny she-cat who's eyes glowed with the mystery of the night. There pawsteps made no noise as they neared the island, there ears were pricked and there movements graceful. The she-cat leaped delicately on the fallen tree that joined the lakeshore and island and padded across regally. She had an awe of wonder about her and her clanmates soon joined her on the island. Wind Clan was here for the gathering.

They padded silently on the soft forest floor. Their steps as quiet as a mouse. Their eyes as dark as the night. Their pelts as sleek and smooth as the shadows they padded under. A small orange and black she-cat lead the group. Her muscles were rippling under her glossy pelt. Her eyes twinkled like stars in Silverpelt. She came to a short stop and crouched down. Her eyes grazed the clearing below. WindClan. WindClan cats everywhere. They littered the floor, chatting quietly. Dawnstar was ready for ShadowClan to make their appearance. She flicked her ear and cats flowed around her like a river. Bulky and stout warriors of every kind. The wind buffeted their faced as they soared down to the island. Wind met Shadow at the gathering place. Dawnstar blinked a short greeting to the WindClan leader as she passed by, still slumped in the dark.

Lynxheart balanced carefully on the fallen tree her muscles rippling under her thick pelt. Her large paws made her clumsy and she stumbled ungracefully on to the island. She had been honored to be able to go to the gathering but she did not know Pantherstar had only chosen her as a show of strength. She could sense Wind Clan and River Clan had already arrived and could see the cats scattered about the island. She shifted nervously under there gazes, a few interested others hostile.

Fawnstar nodded politeley to the Shadow Clan leader, taking more notice in lynxheart then the she-cat. She didn't understand how such a powerful creature would want to stay with River Clan, especially when it was clear that the lynx was just being used as a weapon. It didn't make much sense. She felt prickles of anger run down her spine. Last gathering they'd found out about her and demanded she was removed. River Clan han't listened. Part of Fawnstar didn't blame them. If she had the lynx in her clan she knew she'd view it differently. She wondered if Dawnstar shared her view. "Looks like River Clan didn't listen." she hissed to the Shadow Clan leader.

Dawnstar let out a light laugh. "Never do, Fawnstar." Fawnstar was one of the leaders she could handle. Perhaps it was because she didn't see her every day, and never cought her warriors in ShadowClan land because they didn't border. Dawnstar shrugged with it and padded on so sit a few fox lengths from Fawnstar, her orange and black pelt was shrouded in shadows and night, making her appear just jet black.
Hawkflight peered around Lynxheart. His bulky body made it hard for him to creep along the fallen tree to get to the island. He grunted when his huge paws almost slipped on the slippery tree. He unsheathed his long, curved claws and dug in. Finally, he reached the other side. He nodded to Fawnstar and Dawnstar as he passed. Pantherstar hadn't come tonight. Hawkflight felt eyes boring into his fur as he walked by. They must be waiting for Pantherstar, not the deputy. Hawkflight felt nervousness creep into his pelt as he sat a tail length from Fawnstar. He saw Dawnstar's forest green eyes penetrate his pelt.

Lynxheart sat quietly her eyes averted to the ground. She heared the leaders mention her name but didn't listen in. That would make her bad cat. She didn't want to be bad. She shifted nevously as more cats stared at her, part of her wanting the earth to swallow her up.

Snowstar ran with his clan to the fallen tree. Quickly he placed his paws on the tree and pushed himself up. Leading the clan across it. Once on the other side he looked back on his clan then went on until he reached the clearing where he slowed down. Looking at the clans he went down until he reached the leaders. "Sorry I'm late." He meowed looking at the leaders. "There was a hold up at camp."

Dawnstar rose her head, then spat some words and lowered it back down to haunch. Tanglefire knew there was something wrong with that cat. she held a grudge against one or two ThunderClan cats. She shivered at the thought. the clearing was full of scents of other cats. But unlike other gatherings, none were talking to other clans but a few.

Fawnstar nodded a welcome to Snowstar not bothering to socialise further. She noticed Dawnstar glaring contently at Thunder Clan cats and shook her head in amusmant. Leaders never change.
Silentpaw sat queitley on the edge of the socialising cats. She'd been excited to go to a gathering but it seemed she had the same amount of fans as she had in her own clan. Scanning the group of cats her eyes locked on her thick, tawny pelt. A lynx! Silentpaw had heard rumours of this large cat but had never really believed them. The lynx carried the scent of River Clan yet members of her clan seemed to be keeping as much distance as the others. She's an outcast. Like me. She padded over the the large cat nodding a polite hello, ignoring the disgusted hisses of her clanmates.

Dawnstar glanced up at the sky. The moon was nearly full in the sky. She went ahead and claimed her place on the tree, taking the branch. As she jumped, her legs propelled her off the ground sharply, but she landed perfectly. Turning, she gazed over the meeting place. And sighed.
Palemoon padded around the WindClan cats. She was going to meet up with the other Medicine Cats like they always did. But she couldn't spot them. she say with a hrrmph And talked to her warriors, waiting until she saw the other medicine cats, or cought a hint of their smell.

Snowstar sighed at Dawnstar. Well couldn't she just be more ... polite? His clan hasn't done anything this moon. Not to them anyway. "So Fawnstar, how's the prey been going for you?"He asked.

"Fine. Thankyou." She mewed curtly. Unlike Shadow Clan she shared borders with this clan, creating rivalry between her and the tom. Before he could ask another question she leapt up beside Dawnstar, claiming her space on the branch.
Spottedrose sat beside her mentor scanning the island for the other medicine cats. She was the only medicine cat apprentice in the clans, so gatherings's weren't the funnest at the moment.

Lynxheart turned to look at the silver apprentice sat by her. By the look of her she was Silentkit of Thunder Clan - no Silentpaw you had to be at least an apprentice to come to a gathering. She tilted her head, puzzled by the she-cats behavior. Finally she raised the courage to speak. "Hi..."
Paintedrose leapt of the fallen tree giving a small huff as he landed on the island. Old age certainly took the life out of you. He padded over to the gathering cats, scanning the crowd for the other medicine cats. He spotted Palemoon and Spottedrose sitting down talking quietly and headed torwards them. He smiled warmly. "Greetings." He mewed with complet sinicrity (I know i spelt that wrong). He turned to Spottedrose. "How's my faverite apprentice?"
