Birdsong glared at the she-cat. Having Dawnstar escort her back to camp would be social suicide, and the leader knew it. She stood her ground on the wobbly branch, which realistically should only support one or two squirrels not two cats. Birdsong could feel the branch straining under there weight. They only had a while before it broke. "I think your the one who needs manners! Trespassing on Thunder Clan territory and insulting are warriors! Now you get going, you stupid piece of foxdung!" Retorting was probably not the best move but hey it was worth a try.

Dawnstar snarled. That was it. She threw her weight on the wobbly branch Birdsong was on, and stepped back quickly. The branch crackled loudly like thunder, despite it's thin size. "No one calls me Fox dung and gets away with it!" She yowled over the raucous. Finally, the branch plummeted. Dawnstar scrambled down the tree and back over the border. Looking over her shoulder once more, she spat, and fled.

Birdsong sqealed in fear as she plummeted to the ground. CRUNCH! The branch landed on her back winding her more. A cry of pain escaped her. Pain that quickly evaporated into anger. "Dawnstar you fox-hearted goose!" She yowled, not caring who heard.

"I'm not the one kicking pine cones at a leader, or spying either!" She hissed, then vanished into the trees.
Tanglefires paws drummed the ground. It was sometimes cut off if she leapt over a tree r shrub or stone. "Hello?" She called, panting. She had heard a cry in the forest near the ShadowClan border. "Hello?" she tried again. She heard another short cry, and realized it was Birdsong. Why birdsong? Tanglefire asked herself. She wriggled out of the bush closest to the noise, her fur coming off in clumps, sticking to the foliage. "Birdsong!" She screeched when she saw the she-cat lying under the tree with a branch over top of her. Quickly, Tanglefire scrambled over and pushed the branch off. Crouching down toward the cat, she tried asking "Birdsong! Birdsong, can you hear be?" Her voice was cracking and full of sorrow.

Birdsong opened one eye weakly. Tanglefire? "Urghhhh." She mumbled, pain searing through her body. Even if she didn't like Dawnstar she had to admit she was smart. She felt an urge to meet the she-cat again, maybe help her find out who her mum was or something like that. She tried to pull herself up forgetting the branch on her back. She collpased and grunted in pain.

"Oh no!" Tanglefire breathed. She pressed her muzzle into her fellow clanmates pelt for a split second, then rushed back to camp to get some help. When she finally arrived, her breath was coming in short gasps. "Help! It's Birdsong!" She's hurt!"

Tanglefire nodded and turned tail, shooting out of camp. Gasps of unexpected cats littered the air and she bolted away. She could hear Snowstar's paw steps drumming behind hers. Thorns and brambles snagged her long red coat, snatching fur away to leave them hanging on their branches. She was panting more then ever when she leaped over a fallen log and raced through the small opening where a lump of fur lay under a branch. "There!" she breathed, hardly able to speak. Glancing over her shoulder she saw Snowstar was right behind her still. "Help her!" she exclaimed.

Birdsong looked up weakly. Her fur had grown sticky with blood which she assumed came from where a sharp bit of stick stabbed into her flank. She could see a fuzzy white outline of a cat and another one standing beside it, who she assumed was Tanglefire. She tried to speak but all that came out were slurred noises.

"Great Starclan! What happened?!" Snowstar gasped running though the last of the throns and reaching Birdsong's body. "We need Cob-webs! Quickly Tanglefire!"

"Right, Cobwebs!" Tanglefire shot into the bushes. Cobwebs, cobwebs, cobwebs, cobwebs... She repeated as she searched. Finally, she spotted the think white webs on the roots of a tree. She ripped off a wad with her claws. She stuck to them badly. She rushed back to Birdsong and hastily shook them off. "Cobwebs!" She panted. Without Snowstars words, she grabbed a bunch and pressed it onto a scratch on Birdsong.

Birdsong felt pressure on her wounds and moaned in pain. She felt dizzy and tried desperateley to keep her eyes open. She couldn't fall asleep. She couldn't.

Tanglefire couldn't remember what any of the herbs were for. Startled, she realized she even forgot what it looks like. "I- I- I Don't know!" She cried. "Birdsong! Birdsong can you hear us?" She yowled desperately. "We should get the branch off! Snowstar, help me!" She meowed in a kit-like voice as she heaved on the branch.
