Echosong padded slowly to the ShadowClan border. Memories flooded back to greet her. Images of her long gone mate made her mad at herself. She had had a kit, and she was in ThunderClan. Echosong pictured her kit, now the ShadowClan leader, prowling proudly through the undergrowth. She saw her gentle mew, from her kithood, when she had to let her go.... Rustling of leaves across the border drug her out of her thoughts, and placed her in the real world. Startled, Echosong leaped into a bush nearby, ignoring the scrapes on her pelt, as they tore into her flesh. She held back a yowl as one pricked her on the shoulder, and watched the border. A familiar scent and shape was crouched a new fox lengths away. Echosong leaned in closer, watching carefully... Dawnstar locked her gaze on the toad, croaking right in front of her. It had no idea she was behind it. Silently, Dawnstar crept forward a little more, dodging the needles that litter the ground. She bunched her muscles... Rolled back on her hindquarters... A bush ruffled nearby. The startled toad made a run for it, trying to make for a pond a few hops away. Dawnstar hissed and leaped, making a messy kill. She hooked her claw onto it and tossed it aside. "Come on out, you mangy ThunderClan cat!" She snarled, curling her lip. She paced toward the wiggling bush, teeth bared. Eyes glinting.

Birdsong ears pricked as she heard the angry hiss of Shadow Clans leader Dawnstar. The scent of Thunder Clan filled her nose and she quickly buried the squirrel she had just killed and crept over to the bushes peaking out to see what was going on. She gave a out a hiss on annoyance as she realized she couldn't see through the brambles. She noticed a tree a tail length away and despite its thin branches there were enough leaves to make sure she was unseen. She scrambled up the trunk digging her claws in to the thin branch so she didn't fall and quietly crawled along to the edge, peaking out of the leaves to see what was going on.

Dawnstar glanced up, and flicked her tail. Leaves rustled and fell down to the forest floor. Some other cat was up there too. "Is this an invasion? Or do Thunderclan cats not know how to hide?" She smirked. Lashing her tail, she yowled. "Come on out! I know you're there too!"
Echosong swallowed hard. She hadn't meant for Dawnstar to find her. and she hadn't known Birdsong would either. With shaky limbs, she crawled out of her hiding place. "Dawnstar,"

Foxdung! Birdsong had knew the branch had looked to shaky. She considered jumping down but the thought of being humiliated by Shadow Clans leader was off putting. She carefully pulled herself across the branch making sure not to shake any of the leaves off this time. She was a great climber and carefully managed to move to the next tree along so not to be spotted. She wasn't going to be caught not that easily! She gazed at the Shadow Clan leader waiting if Echosong neede her she'd be ready help but otherwise she hadn't been here!

Growling at the tree with annoyance, Dawnstar turned her attention back to the she-cat. "Echosong," She spat her name, tail still lashing. "Would you like to tell why your so close to teh border, and watching me hunt?"

Birdsong rolled her eyes like Echosong would want to see that mangy she-cat let alone watch her hunt.Dawnstar was so full of herself it was as if she thought every cat was watching her. She wasn't that great! Birdsong scratched behind her ear careful not to knock any leaves she was interested to see how things played out between the two she-cats.

"None of you business, I don't believe." She puffed out her chest and acted sure. Even if she was shaking on the inside like a leaf on a tree in a storm.
Dawnstar let out a rasping purr. "Oh, really? Lets see about that now." She sat down. "You have 5 seconds to step away from our border." She began. Dawnstar lifted a paw. "One." she let one razor sharp claw slice out. "Two," another. "Three,"
Echosong drew in a breath. "Okay!" she exclaimed, raising her voice. She scrambled away, back into the heart of Thunderclan. She heard Dawnstars voice echo behind her, "Don't Ever come back!"

Birdsong couldn't believe how rude the Shadow Clan cat had been. She has no right! Birdsong didn't fancy starting a fight against Shadow Clan's leader - she wouldn't want to start a fight against two clans but knew she had to do something. Quickly she reached up grabbing a pinecone in between her teeth, placing it on the trunk of the tree and pulled her paw back. Aiming carefully her eyes screwed in concentration she hit the pinecone at the Shaow Clan leader. She grinned as it smaked the back of Dawnstars head breaking on the impact. "Ouch..."

Hissing and sputtering wildly, Dawnstar turned tail and launched herself into the tree. "Come out, kitty kitty!" She spat, looking for the ThunderClan warrior she knew was in the tree.

"Opps!" Birdsong gave out a little cry as the angry she-cat leapt up at the tree. Despite her small size the she-cats anger was well known in all the clans and few engaged it. Birdsong didn't fancy fighting the she-cat alone so instead scrabbled higher up the tree the branches scratching her pretty face. She shook her head as leaves got caught on her fur panicking even more at the thought of being stuck. She managed to get herself unstuck and the branch smacked the gaining leader around the face. Talk about making things worse! Eventually Birdsong had reached the top of the tree and she balanced cautiously on the wobbly branch. She knew this was dangerous even for her. She dug her claws deeper into the thin branch that shuck even more in the sudden wind. What now!

"Stupid mouse-brained badger-faced fox-hearted Thunderclan cats!" Dawnstar spat as she circled up the tree. No one, and she meant no one messed with Dawnstar and got away with it. she leaped up the tree just like she does the pines in her territory. It was a little different. The thick branches supplied sturdy gripping and paw holds. Finally she made it high enough to where she could see the pelt of the Thunderclan cat. It was probably too high for her to leap down, but in ShadowClan territory they leaped from high rises a lot. She could do it if she had to. Suddenly, sharp winds threw itself into the tree and it swayed unevenly. "Come here you stupid piece of fox dung!" She hissed getting closer. She was a paw length away from the she-cat. She could easily reach over and claw the pelt off of it.

Birdsong stared at the angry leader. She's mad if she attacks! We'll both fall! The branch shook violently as she quickly backed away. One more step and I'll fall! Her fur was fluffed up making herself look twice her normal size, and her multi-coloured eyes streched wide.

Dawnstar could make out the warrior. It was Birdsong. she would remember who she was. Crazed into getting her revenge, Dawnstar crept closer. "One more chance, Birdsong. Fall or get shredded." she unsheathed her claws. They glinted in the soft sunlight that was pouring into the area, washing everything into a reddish orange.

Birdsong considered what to do. If she jumped she might live. At worst break her spine or die. If she fought the Shadow Clan leader she might live. At worst be ripped to shreds or die. Neither choices really appealed. "I think I'll go with neither." She hissed trying to sound braver then she felt. It worked. "In fact I choose option number three. You leave now and I won't make a fuss!" She snarled aggressively. The sweet she-cat could look viscous if she had to.

"Maybe you should learn some manners!" she hissed. "And maybe you wouldn't be in this situation!" Dawnstar thought to herself. then spoke. "I let you go, but I come to your camp and speak to your leader about spies. and if nothing changes..." Her eyes glinted. "Then you can probably guess what happens next. Dawnstar also wanted to find out who her mother was, and rip her to shreds as well. "So SCAT you little spying piece of fox dung!" She spat.
